Prophy Cleanings:

It is a non-therapeutic procedure for the maintenance of a healthy mouth. Prophy is only provided for patients without periodontitis. It is primarily a supragingival procedure and is provided at six-month intervals. 

Composite Fillings:

If a tooth has a small cavity, Dr. Kohlberg will repair it with a composite filling. A composite filling is a tooth colored filling that is bonded into the tooth after the decay is removed.

Crown and Bridge:

A crown is done when the tooth is broken or severely decayed. This is a two appointment procedure. The intial visit is to prepare the tooth and put in temporary crown and the second appointment, three weeks later, is when the permanent crown is permanently cemented.

A bridge is done when there is a tooth missing or needs to be extracted. This is a three appointment visit. The intial appointment is to prepare the teeth and put in a temporary bridge. The second visit is when the metal part of the bridge is tried in, and the third appointment is when the bridge is permanently cemented.

Dentures and Partials:

Dr. Kohlberg believes that if your natural teeth can be saved, then save them. However, if a denture is what is needed then we can help. A denture is a removable appliance. Our dentures are made in the course of about a month, with weekly visits. With the possibly of more depending on the neccessary procedures.
Partial dentures are made when many teeth are missing and need to be replaced. This is an appliance that is removable. This appliance is made in about a month. With weekly visits.
